Thanks! I’m going to do two transactions with 6 different games and submit one rebate form…
    Trans 1:
    Hi-Ho Cherry O $4.99
    Operation $8.99 minus $5 Q
    Connect 4 $8.99 minus $4 Q
Total oop: $13.97, get back $8 Rebate and $5 TRU GC to equal 97 cents

    Trans 2:
    Twister $8.99 minus $4 Q
    Battleship $8.99 minus $4 Q
    Trouble $8.99 minus $4 Q
Total oop: $14.97, get back $9 Rebate and $5 TRU GC to equal another 97 cents

Then off to Target for Bop-It!
    :)

  2. Kelly says:

be careful about the R2D2 trouble game. the rebate form says it has to be for the trouble game that is shown in the pic. not any other versions. so the r2d2 trouble game would not work for the rebate.

  3. erika says:

Also the r2d2 trouble game isnt the one on sale i believe its around 16.99

  4. Michie says:

This might be a silly question, but can you submit for the full rebate amount when you use a coupon to purchase the game?

  5. Elizabeth says:

Yes, you can submit for the full rebate amount when you use coupons to purchase the games.

  6. Ashley says:

So when you use the coupons and only pay $13 or so they will still give me the $5 gift card? I didn’t know if you had to be out of pocket $20 before you got it. Going to stock up for some Christmas gifts if so! Thanks so much for what you do! :)

    • Mercedes says:

      Ashley,

One of my readers who works there left a comment last week saying that the total is before coupons, so you should get the GC. It is usually a register prompt, meaning as soon as your items hit the limit it prompts for the GC.

      Mercedes

  7. Laura says:

Oh darn! I wish I hadn’t submitted my Hasbro rebate right after Christmas. I didn’t think we’d find another game deal and didn’t want to forget to mail it. Goes to show, there’s always a learning curve. :)

    • Mercedes says:

      Laura,

this rebate is for purchases after 2/22/10 and you said your other rebate was after Christmas. I don’t think this is the same rebate you already submitted for.

      Mercedes

      • Laura says:

Mercedes – you’re right! Thank you so much for pointing out the dates! I didn’t even read the fine print… just saw the form and assumed it was the same one. Hooray!

  8. erika says:

  9. Kristen says:

I went and did your scenario, Mercedes. This is great for stocking up for Christmas!

Although I was frustrated with Toys R Us on one aspect. I tried to use that $5 promotional gift card that we got for becoming Facebook friends with Babies R Us back in January. Unless I completely missed something, there was no expiration date on the gift card I printed out. I completely read through the fine print. Anyway I tried to use it today (because it was good in either store) and apparently those all expired Feb. 20! Did I miss something here? If I had seen an expiration date I would have used it right away, guess I should have known better — but I assumed they were good for at least a year because it was a gift card, not a coupon. I called customer service but they said there was nothing they could do. Any suggestions? I mean it’s just $5 but it kind of frustrated me.

  10. erika says:

Hey Kristen, It’s so funny that you commented on the free $5 gift card, because I was just clearing through all the paper mess on my desk, and I came across page 2 of the email for the gift card, page 2 has the expiration date.

    • Kristen says:

Ah ha! No wonder I didn’t see it, I must not have saved that part. That clears that up!

      • Mercedes says:

        Kristen,

I was just reading that on another blog. The gift cards have an expiration date kinda short dated. I had never looked into it since I didn’t have a tRU near me but now I do.

        Mercedes

  11. Arria says:

Went tonight and the deal worked great! Got Twister, Operation and Connect Four. Used $5, $4 and $4 coupons. Got the $5 GC from TRU. Will submit the rebate for $9. Thanks!!!

  12. Angela says:

I just wanted to add that I went to TRU for my second game purchase today and I bought Hungry Hippos, Gator Golf, and Elefun AND I got a free w/Elefun and Friends purchase plush hippo not once but THREE times. I actually took three up (One per game) and asked the cashier if I gte one or three. She told me everyone has been bringing one up but that she’ll try it and lo and behold, all three showed up as promo and were free. Extra score!

  13. Nicole says:

Can I buy multiples of a game for presents and still get the rebate on each of them?

  14. Sandra says:

ANyone try the Target Monopoly Coupon deal? Haven’t heard it work and Target is sort of bad with that.
The expiration date for the cards are also in the fine print in the signs at TRU

  15. Sandra says:

    …it expires 5/31/2010********************* ;)

  16. CEL says:

most of the coupons are already gone! Anyone have a pdf?

  17. AR says:

I mailed in my rebate form way back in April. I haven’t received my check yet. Has anyone received their rebate check?

    • Sandra says:

I got it! I got it! I saved the email update about this comment on this thread so I could say something on whether I got it and I got it today! I’m excited bc I heard there were lots of problems with this or else it took forever to get. Yes it did take quite a while but not months and months. $20 rebate! (correct amount I believe, did as many as I could)

  18. Mandy says:

I still haven’t gotten mine yet! It’s been 90 days by my calculations… I’m trying to find a contact number I can call to ask about it.

  19. Mandy says:

I found the number to call for the Toys R Us Rebate Status on the Hasbro website. I tried calling tonight, but they were already closed. I’m calling tomorrow am… I’ll let you know what I hear.

    It’s 1-888-836-7025.

  20. Mandy says:

Okay! I just called. It took her several minutes to look through the list but found that it had been mailed on Monday (it’s Friday and I haven’t gotten my mail yet today, but can’t imagine the post office taking more than 5 days to get a piece of mail to any place in the country!)

On a side note, I’ve been trying to find the vlog you did last year about making your own homemade cleaners (scouring powder, etc.) and I can’t seem to find it using the search box. I think it’s been over a year… does content from that long ago disappear after a while?
