Walgreens: A Few Double Dipping Deals this Week

This week there are some double dipping deals available thanks to in-ad coupons and coupons in the August coupon booklet. Just as a refresher, Walgreens coupon guidelines state that you can combine an in-ad coupon, with an instant value coupon (from Monthly Coupon Booklet) and a manufacturer coupon. If you would like your own copy of these coupon guidelines, email Walgreens corporate. This one I am shared was emailed to one of my readers.

Thanks Wild for Wags!

I think there is also a $2.00 manufacturer’s coupon for Raid in today’s paper so you can combine with $2.00 Walgreen’s. ???

  • I had no idea you could stack an in ad with a booklet coupon! My life is forever changed! LOL

  • Kristina L.

Neither one of the Listerine coupons would work for me. I tried it this morning and neither would take off 2.00.

  • Amanda

The Benadryl coupon has reached it’s print limit.

  • Susan

There’s a $1.50/1 Benadryl still available on that link.

  • Krista B

I can’t seem to find the $1.50/1 Benadryl coupon…what zip code are you using? Too bad the other reached it’s print limit.

  • The Listerine worked at 2 stores but not at the 3rd…the register beeped when the in-ad coupon was scanned. The August book coupon went through fine though.

    • Kristina L.

Which one did you scan first. Maybe that matters. The visen worked so I don’t know why they didn’t

    • Hi Mitchell,

That often means that the in-coupon have not been programmed to work on that store. It is just an oversight by the store’s management.

Wish I lived where you gals do! Our prices are higher at our Walgreens in New Jersey.

  • Yes, I was going to do the visine deal because they used to cost $3.99 in the store as it lists on walgreens.com but my store just had a price increase to $4.79.

  • Val B.

Also another deal is the Bayer AM for 4.99. Use 2.00 coupon from Sunday paper and 3.00 off coupon in August booklet to get this FREE!! It works I did 5 Bayer AM and 3 Visine with no beeps.

Note that if you use the 15% off Friends and Family coupon, the weekly store coupons will adjust down by 15% as well. So depending on your store prices, some of these deals may be close to free rather than free.

One of the walgreens visine coupons did that for me 1.70 instead of 2 was taken off. 🙁

As far as stacking coupons it does not work in Florida (tampa bay area). I read these blogs and have been burned so many times that I will not shop deals at Walgreens anymore. The people that work at these stores are clueless and each one makes up their own set of rules when things don’t go thru. I tried again today as some of the things that were on for double coupons I could use but the cashier couldn’t understand the in-ad coupon and the coupon from the coupon booklet, it just didn’t compute. I left without buying anything.

  • That Guy

    @Kathy,

Short version: call corporate and get clarification about combining those offers. Then ask them what you should do when a cashier and manager disagree. They want you to be happy. You aren’t stealing from them! They get paid the face value of the mfr q and any other sales they run they must be happy with or they wouldn’t run the sale. The cashier and mgr do not set corporate policy.

I had a terrible experience at CVS over a b1g1 sale and b1g1 mfr q combo. The store manager was such a jerk! He insisted that “we have to go by the coupon” and since the coupon said “buy one” I had to buy one with money, not a mfr q. He blew me off and said if I didn’t like it, call the 800#. So I did. The rep immediately said I was right and put me on hold to call the store. She came back and said it was taken care of.

I went back to the store he told me NO again! This time he said it was a photocopied coupon and they don’t have to take them. I immediately called again in front of him in the store. He said he’d take them THIS TIME but that is it. I spoke to a different rep who put a message through to the district manager, who called me within one hour. He was flabbergasted as to why this guy would make such a big deal over two cans of soda! He said it was his highest priority to straighten it out and that I wouldn’t have a problem again. I went back to the store the next day with the same deal (and four more times since) and ever since the guy won’t look me in the eye and I haven’t had an issue.

The Walgreens across the street is INCREDIBLE, though. The lady there actually HELPS ME figure out the best deals, and clips coupons that she gives to customers so they can do it too! The managers know – and they were so friendly and happy to see me even though I turned $30 cash into $300+ in goods at their store!

Don’t give up! But don’t get mad – just go over their heads.

    Good luck!
