Totally got coupon blocked on the Huggies internet coupon. They said it was a new policy not to take any internet coupons over $1. I was mad because diaper internet coupons are never under $1! I called later and talked to the store manager who said it was not Walgreens corporate policy, just their store policy. I called another Walgreens (not as close or convenient of course) and they said they would take them. GRRRRR!

    • Laura W. says:

You might be able to push that. I don’t know if stores can over-ride the corporate coupon policy. You should contact the corporate office.

Noxema Razors money maker….My Noxema razors have coupons inside for either $2 or $1 off next purchase, great value. It shows on the package if they are in it! Look on the back

I have a deal that I did yesterday that I haven’t seen listed on any site. I wanted to see if this would work and it did.

I bought 4 Old Spice Body Washes and 4 Old Spice Body Sprays
I used (2) B1G1 Old Spice Body Wash – making two of the body washes free
and then I used (4) B1 Old Spice Body Wash G1 Old Spice Body Spray for Free – making all of the Old Spice Body sprays for free (all of the coupons were from the 9/26 PG)
Cost- Only the price of 2 Old Spice Body Washes $6.66 plus sales tax and I got $3 RR
Total- 45 cents each for 8 items before tax
    Saved- $31.24

The cashier was not happy because he had to manually input all of the coupons and tried to talk me out of it but I stayed calm and polite and simply explained away his objections- I bought 8 items and only used 6 coupons. The coupons say you can only use 4 of one kind and I only used 4 of one kind and two of another. It worked and the lady behind me complimented me on my smart shopping :)

I was wondering if anyone else tried this deal?

  7. Rebekah says:

I have never tried any couponing at Walgreens but saw so many great match-ups on all of the blogs that I decided to try it out yesturday. Spent 2 hours clipping coupons and arranging transactions so that I could get the best deals for all of the things I wanted. Got to the store and it was the WORST SHOPPING EXPERIENCE EVER!! I studied the corporate coupon policy before I went to make sure I was doing everything right, but the manager refused to honor it. They told me I couldn’t use more than 1(!) Register Reward on any 1 transaction!! (Seriously! What’s the point of even having them?!) Also said that I was not allowed to do more than one transaction per day. (I wasn’t trying to do separate transactions on the same items, they were all different items and even different brands!) They said too many people were “ripping them off” by paying with coupons! Hello! It’s not called “paying” with coupons for a reason! Finally I told the cashier that if I couldn’t use more than one RR at a time that I wanted a refund on all of the things in my first transaction. After finally getting everything to override (they were only going to do a store credit at first!), the kicker is they kept all my coupons! So they ended up making money off of me even though I left with nothing!! I’m going to write a complaint to corporate, I just wanted to vent to people who might understand as well! Won’t be going back to Walgreens EVER!

      Rebekah,
That is just terrible. I think you much have been the unlucky one to get a store that doesn’t really know what they are doing. They should have given you your coupons back for everything you returned within the same visit (my opinion). The Walgreens around the corner from me has a few “un-coupon educated” employees as well. I only go at a certain time when I know the most helpful & sweet cashier will be there (Thanks Carole). I wouldn’t write Walgreens off….maybe just that one store. You can really save a lot of $. Hope you try again and it goes as smooth as glass!

    • Martha says:

I think the first visit to Wags might be an initiation visit for more people than you think. My first time there, several months ago, nothing worked out. I was so frustrated, and didn’t get any of the things I planned for. It took a while for me to go back, but the next time, it was a lot better! Now I go there all the time, and they know me and compliment me for taking advantage of their deals. Hang in there, and better luck next time!
