I’m always excited to get all these good deals, but its terrible how my local walgreens never has anything in stock, and they are always a little too carfeul when accepting coupons, it makes shopping there a nightmare! 🙁

    • Miranda

Heather, you might want to ask an employee at your local Walgreens when they restock the store.

A manager at one of the Walgreens near me told me last week that their store restocks mid-week, meaning sometimes they have no stock at the start of the sale but end up with overstock at the end of the sale.

By the way, that conversation took place on the last day of a sale when there was still tons of RR products on the shelves; the manager was more than happy to let me do as many RR deals as I wanted!

If it turns out the store is just understocked all the time, though, you might want to talk to the manager of the store or the regional manager of your area about ordering more sale items.

    • Miranda

Forgot to mention: you might also want to speak to the regional manager about your difficulty using coupons at that store.

I always have the same problems at my Walgreens (out of stock, rude store managers, wont give rainchecks, etc..) I went to Walgreens right at midnight on Sat to get the Luster White toothpaste deal. They only had two in stock and a lady beat me to them and bought both. I then drove all the way across town to our only other Walgreens (like 10 miles) and there was none. The clerk said that they had four in stock and sold them by 12:30am. What a waste of time and gas!
Can you tell me how I can get the regional managers number?

Has anyone been told that you have to hand over the coupon from the “infant care booklet” from now on? Normally on wag coupons they just scan or type in the code…but I was told by my store that we have to hand over the coupons from the infant care booklet…not any of the other wag coupon booklets. Is this true or is my store just being a pain in the rear?

    • Becky in KY

A cashier a week or two ago just scanned the coupon and told me to keep it. A cashier last week took the coupon and said they have to keep all coupons. I didn’t push it because I didn’t know whether that was a new policy or just an overzealous cashier (she tends to be the most cautious of the ladies working at the beauty counter).

  • Shelly WAlker

There is a coupon on walgreens site for $1 off the breath right also.

the got2b coupon in my sept 2010 all you has an 8/23/10 expiration date ~ ugh!

  • jenn

what is up with the always deal. My store flyer did not have this listed anywhere. But on the shelves the always pads were marked 6.99 a piece with a 2RR when you buy one. This is quite different from the deal you mentioned…

  • Cheryl Brown

Just to share this with you. I had my experienced with Walgreens in the past. I did email to Walgreens Headquarter and they gave me the link to fill out the form. Once they read your complaint and they will contact to your local Walgreens. My local Walgreens has been improving and restocking!!

I did the diaper deal last week like 6 times. The first time I paid about 8 dollars and expected 5RR instead I got 5 dollars on your next pampers AND wipes purchase. so I went back got 2/$4dollar coupons off of th PG coupon book 1/$ 2 off of the infant care booklet from walgreeens(which deducted 4 dollars) and used the 5 dollars off coupon on the wipes and Voila! i only paid $3.74 for the 2 packs of diapers and the wipes. The best part was that that five dollar coupon kept printing everytime =)! I still have one left so since this week you get 3RR back it looks like I will only be paying 74cents for the diapers and the wipes. This is awesome! =)

  • eliza

last week I did the pampers deal and only paid 3.74 for the wipes and the 2 packs of diapera=)

  • Jennifer

I’m confused about the Always deal too. Our store didn’t show the deal at all and it wasn’t listed in the flier. Any advice?

    • Hi Jennifer,

Yes, this is an unadvertised monthly deal. You should look for tags in stores. OR, you could wait until it is advertised in the weekly sales circular, probably over the next two weeks.

      • Jennifer

Thanks so much…next time I’ll have the clerk ring up the product to check.

        • Iva

I checked at my store yesterday (in Southern Colorado) and the cashier/managers knew nothing of a “monthly” deal with register rewards, and there was nothing on the shelves with a sale price. I had checked the Walgreens website to see if there was info on “monthly” register reward deals and couldn’t locate any. I’m curious to know how you get this information, so that I can pass the word along to my local managers. I will keep looking in the weekly ads too for more information. Thanks!

          • Iva,

The monthly deals should be tagged at your local stores. This is information they should be getting from corporate themselves. Having said that, I know there are areas in CO, I know for sure Denver< that doesn't get all of the deals that other stores across the country get. But the Always deal is advertised in the weekly deals for the week starting on 4/17.

Question: Are all the monthly RR,s the same across the US?? I have seen different ones mentioned, but do not know if they work here. Blogs do not always indicate where the blogger is from so if the monthy RR’s are not the same:::: How do we know what the RR’s are in our area???? I live between Portland and Salem Oregon. Any help on the monthly RR’s, figuring out which product are would be helpful. Thanks

  • Would I be able to do this shopping scenario?:

Buy (6) Mars Easter Candy $0.29
Buy (2) Mars Easter Candy Bags 2/$4

    Use (4) $1/2 Mars Easter Products……
