  2. Claire says:

On the reach wouldn’t using a 1$ off coupon and the b1g1 cause 1.01 overage.

  3. Claire says:

ohh I looked at the dove coupon on walgreens.com and it excluded the ulitimate so that deal wouldn’t work.

  4. GhostMom01 says:

The Scotch coupon that comes up has an expiration date of 8/31/2010 but it’s still $1 off so it works.

    • Patti says:

The scotch coupon that came up for me was $3/1 on any packaging tape multi-pack of 3 rolls or more? I assume the one on sale is a single? Is there another coupon link, or is the other one no longer available? Thx

  5. Caitlin says:

Is that a good deal on sunblock? I’ve been watching for deals on sunblock, because I go through a ton in the summer, but I haven’t seen anything really cheap. I haven’t bought sunblock since I started couponing, so I haven’t been able to judge. Does it ever go free or cheaper than about $5 a bottle?

    • Megan J says:

Caitlin, I got a great deal on Coppertone at Walgreens last summer – I think it was about $1-2/bottle. That was the cheapest I’ve ever seen it though (and it was a new product). Good luck!

  6. Vero says:

    My walgreens doesn’t adjust prices :( I can’t use a $1 coupon an a $0.99 item

    • pennyscents says:

If you hand them the $1.00 off coupon, and then have them scan the Wags in ad coupon last it will go through without any problems at all. It will give you .01 cents in overage, so make sure that you have something in your order to cover the .01 cent. That shouldn’t be too hard to do. Don’t make it real obvious that you are having them scan the Wags coupon last. Somebody might think that you are doing something wrong, and the employees usually don’t know how to do coupons, etc… a lot either. Doing it this way is good for you and them. They get the $1.00 back that they never would’ve gotten by not allowing you to buy the product, and you get the product that you wanted. :)

  7. Lisa says:

I tried printing off the tone body wash and it says I’ve already printed the number of times allow . . . I swear I’ve never printed it before . . . weird.

  8. Julie says:

I had the same problem with the Tone coupon not printing. I also tried to do the Dove deal and it wouldn’t work. I swear I’ve had this problem before. I need to get a better memory. Unfortunately it screwed up my RR plan so I had to buy an extra item for a dollar at the last second when I would have been able to swap around which RRs I used. On the other hand, this is my first time trying to use RRs, so I can’t expect miracles. (I got a U by Kotex yesterday so I’d have something to start with, and the problem was on my second transaction for this morning.)

  9. Kristina L. says:

I got the LaCross pedicure kit that was original 8.99 on sale (wasnt marked on sale) for 4.99 and with the 2.00 off coupon from All You mag this month and the 3.00 off Wags May coupon book I got it for free.

  10. Mary says:

?. In the latest AllYou mag there was an article on saving at pharmacies. It mentioned using a Walgreens rewards card. (sounded like they were refering to something like CVS’s). Does anyone know what they are talking about?

  11. Maezy says:

    Great Deal Kristina:

I’ll have to see if I can get this deal to work–sound’s great !! thanks!!

  12. Deb says:

Just came from WG. The Tone’s bodywash is not with the other body wash, it is closer to the front, by cosmetics. Also, you cannot get a RR for the Stayfree and the Tone’s on the same transaction. The manager had to help me return and then rebuy items to get the right RR, but she was so gracious with my ineptitude at being a savvy WG shopper! I am so thankful for patient people.

    • Mercedes says:

      Deb,

I bought both Tone body wash and Stayfree in the same transaction and the register rewards printed fine for both of them. I wonder what went on with yours.

      Mercedes

  13. Kristina L. says:

I just heard that the Stayfree and the Trimmers are a monthly RR deal.

  14. Nancy says:

I printed off a deal from your website yesterday, and brought it to Walgreens today. It was the one where you buy 3 Aveeno products (in a single purchase), and you get a free Travel Essentials Kit ($9.99 Value). I used three $1/1 coupons from a website you mentioned, and when I went to the clerk, I found out it was the special last week! They brought the manager in, and he was so nice, he just gave the deal to me! I love Walgreens!

  15. Jennifer says:

I’m confused. Couldn’t you just by two Hawaiian Tropic products and the deal still work?

  16. pennyscents says:

I just wanted to let people know that the Inf 23 leave in was $6.49 before coupons at my location. It did have a tag that said $4.49. My total kind of through me off when the cashier gave me my total. After I checked out I went back and looked. Sure enough the tag did say $4.49 after the $2.00 off in store coupon. I still got it for $1.49, but I probably would not have bought it at all. I was only buying because I thought it would be free. I am not going to return it , though. I get enough really good deals at Wags that I am not going to go through the trouble of returning something that I used RR’s to pay for. It get’s too complicated.

  17. AQHorse says:

I must be losing my mind: The Stayfree products were not on sale as described above. Maybe the store hadn’t changed the shelf labels? The sale prices were B1G1 in nature, and no single product was as low as $3.99.

Also, I could not locate the Tone product (though I did look in the skincare aisle and the body wash section). I gave my Tone coupon to another bargain hunter and wished her luck finding it at another store.

In a hurry when I went – so it was just as well to give up. I bought the Scotch packing tape (not labelled on the shelf) and the Phazyme – paid something like $1.52 and didn’t get to use any of my $17 RRs.

Obviously I need more practice at this! Still, I’m happy that I didn’t buy something expensive and useless.

  18. adri says:

All I’m pulling up is the $3 coupon off the Scotch tape, too. Did the $1 coupon expire?

  19. kitchy says:

have a question…when you shop at wags..what is the correct order in handling coupons to the cashier?…one cashier in my area…got kinda’ upset because how i hand her the coupons…please help!

    • pennyscents says:

Wags store coupons should be scanned last. They do not have to be handed in, though. This really only affect things when you have a manufacturer coupon that has a value off that is higher than the price of the product. Most Wags will not adjust manufacturer coupons. This week the tape is on sale for .99, but there is a $1.00 off coupon. The tape rings up at $3.??, so if they scan the $1.00 off manufacturer coupon 1st the register will not beep at all. If they scan the Wags coupon first it will bring the tape down to .99, so when they go to scan the $1.00 off manufacturer coupon it will beep. I never make it real obvious. Just hand them all of your coupons, and RR’s when you put all of your items up. Then right before you pay look through the sales ad for the coupon your using, and have them scan it.

I was very frustrated when I first started doing this. I would get things wrong, not be prepared, etc…. I had a lot of rude employee experiences because of it. Most of the employees do not get, or know how the RR’s & coupons work themselves. I have even been told this by them. They appreciate it when you know what you are doing. Now that I have a system in place, and I know all the rules I barely ever have a problem with a rude associate.

      • Kristina L. says:

Plus it helps to find a store and cashier that you like and keep going back to them. When I get a really good deal on something I will give them items that I get for free or coupons so that they can as well and being nice can go along way. I never have problems with Walgreens employees I feel very lucky I have heard many bad stories.
