Walgreens: Theraflu Moneymaker Deal

theraflu Walgreens: Theraflu Moneymaker Deal

I just got back from my local Walgreens and I have really good news on the Theraflu weekly deal. I read on a couple of message boards that the Theraflu register rewards deal was “Buy two Theraflus (2/$8) and get a $4 RR back, OR buy Three and get a $8 RR back!” I decided to give it a try myself since I had to go get my favorite hair products for free: the Herbal Essence Totally Twisted for my curly hair. Unfortunately the $2/1 printable Theraflu coupon is no longer available. BUT if you have the coupon from the Healthy Savings Booklet, this deal is still a moneymaker.

The Best Scenario:

$12 wyb three Theraflu Products
-$6 when you use three $2/1 printable coupons (no longer available sadly, but if you printed in advance)
-$6 deducted when you use the coupon in Healthy Savings booklet
=$0.00 plus tax out of pocket and get a $8 RR back!

$12 wyb three Theraflu Products
-$6 deducted when you use the coupon in Healthy Savings booklet
=$6.00 plus tax out of pocket and get a $8 RR back

This is also a great way to consolidate those small $2 RR from the Herbal Essence or Dentek products into one larger RR, if that’s more convenient to you.  Also, the coupon in the Healthy Savings booklet is reportedly working on the following Theraflu products:

Sinus & Cold (6 packets) UPC 300436319067
Daytime Severe Cold & Cough (6 packets) UPC 30043625706
Flu & Sore Throat (6 packets) UPC 300432047916
Sugar-Free Nightime Severe Cold & Cough (6 packets) UPC 300436318060
Flu & Sore Throat (8.3 FL oz) UPC 300436265081
Cold & Chest Congestion (8.3 FL oz) UPC 300436296085

Happy Savings!

  1. Awesome heads up on this! I think I got 3 coupons printed before it was gone, so this works out perfectly! THANKS!

Hi Mercedes! Just a little heads-up, I found a flyer at my Publix pharmacy counter called: “WHAT ACHE?” that has a $2/1 coupon for Theraflu as well as 3 other good medicine coupons. Here’s what it looks like, in case any readers are lucky enough to find it at a grocery pharmacy counter!

  3. cc says:

I don’t see any Healthy Savings booklets at my Wags

  4. CaroleG says:

Is Novartis the manf. on this one? I can’t remember what my $5 RR were from – Novartis and another co. It was from last week…guess I should call the catalina co? Does Hcw or AFC have a cross reference post? Off I go…

    • Mercedes says:

      Hi Carole,

yes is novartis. I used the $5 RRs I had from thr triaminic to buy one chapstick, one dentek picks bag and one HE mousse. then use one of those three RR to get the theraflu.

  5. Lindy says:

I did this deal tonight, bought 3 boxes, used the $2 WAGS q and got $8.00 back. Also, I have heard that the HERBAL ESSENCES SHAMPOO is ROLLING!!! Check it out!

  6. Michelle M says:

Is the $8 RR printing for all types of Theraflu, or just the packets?

  7. Nichole says:

I have seen on other sites that this is no longer working. What are the upcs that are working for this deal?

  8. wendy says:

It worked for me twice. Once I bought packets and the other time liquid. Thanks for the heads up!

  9. Michelle M says:

Okay, it worked for me today. I bought 3 liquids, used 2 $2 MQ, 1 $2 RR from Oral-B last week, and $6 WQ. My subtotal was ZERO, I paid $.21 tax, then got my $8 RR!!

  10. erika says:

Hi, my ad from this week say nothing about theraflu being 2/$8. Has any1 had luck with getting the RR’s on the thera flu even though the sales not in the ad. Im in the Brooklyn, New York area and my ad was slightly different then the ad on Iheartwags.

  11. Lyla says:

The Theraflu deal is still on, at least at the Walgreen’s in Lackawanna, NY. I was able to do it today.

  12. erika says:

Was the therflu in ur AD??

  13. Kim says:

Im planning on trying this deal tomorrow.. the 3 for $12.. 8RR hopefully! Crossing my fingers. ;)

The Healthy Savings Booklets just showed up today underneith the regular circulars.. so hopefully you’ll be able to find some too.

  14. KS says:

I found the Healthy Savings coupon books on the table in the waiting area near the pharmacy at my local Walgreens. The management had no idea what I was talking about so I just searched the store myself.

  15. MS says:

I hear you, Erica. My ad did not say anything about a RR for Theraflu. I am in CO. And today when I was doing my shopping there (my making $ I should say!!), the gal did not know one thing about it. Was it in the ad or not????? If not, does it still work????

  16. Erika says:

I had the cashier scan 2 boxes of the 6 packs of theraflu and they rang up as $6.49 each. And I got dirty looks from the cashier, when I asked her to void it out. Lol. Hopefully they’ll throw them on sale for us soon.

  17. jody says:

Worked WI Tuesady evening $12 for 3 $6 off $8 RR

  18. MJ says:

Thanks Jody and Erica. I still don’t know if it was in your ad jody or not. Like Erica, mine scanned up at $6.49, and the clerk was not too happy to have to void it.

All I want to know is if it was in your ad–for those of you who say it works. If it is, then there are different ads in different parts of the country.

Please could someone just tell me if it was in your ad or did you just try it b/c of this website??? THANKS

  19. jody says:

My ad said $8 for 2 with $4RR, I just tried the 3 for $12 and got back $8 3 different times no problem!

  20. jody says:

Go to walgreens.com put in 53545 zip and check ad, It has the 2 for $8 with $4RR, not showing the $8 RR for 3. Maybe they will honor a copy of the ad?? CVS did for me from another region!

  21. MJ says:

Thanks so much Jody. No wonder you guys probably think we are nuts. I did what you said and put in your zip code and sure enough, you have it right there on page 12 in your 16 page ad.

Then I went to my ad. We only have 8 pages!! And it is for sure not in my ad. Darn. Wonder why?

But thanks to you the mystery is solved. I am going to talk to my mgr. and see if he would honor the ad. Worth a try, right?

    God bless and thanks.

  22. MJ says:

Yes, Mercedes, I am in Colorado–urg.
