Walgreens: Unilever and Kelloggs Scenarios and How to Roll the RRs

wag-logo

If you checked out my Walgreens weekly deals post you know that there are a few good register rewards deals going on at Walgreens this week.  Here’s one scenario buying Dove/Degree products and taking advantage of the Unilever catalina deal going on (buy 8 get $10 RR back)

$14 Buy 4 Degree Deodorants $3.50 ea
$14 Buy4 Degree Body Mist $3.50 ea
– $14 when you use four Buy one deodorant, get one body mist coupon from 6/28 RP insert
– $$5 when you use four $1.25/1 Degree deodorant coupons from 5/17 RP inserts
= Pay $9 plus tax out of pocket and get a $10 RR back

This is just one of THREE scenarios shares by Saverella. Please see her other two scenarios here.  Pocket your dollars then put together this scenario for getting all 10 Kelloggs products to qualify for Fuel for School Rebate at Walgreens while taking advantage of the two RR deals going on those products there. I have modified her scenario a little bit to be able to use the $10 RR from the Unilever deal:

$8 Buy 4 Poptarts
$5 Buy 2 Kelloggs cereals
$4 Buy 2 boxes of Nutri-Grain bars
$4 Buy 2 boxes of Cheez it Crackers
$0.09 when you buy one Penway two pocket folder (after in-ad coupon)
=$21.09
– $2 when you use two $1/2 poptart coupon from 8/2 Kelloggs insert
-$1 when you use $1/2 Kelloggs Cereal from 8/2 Kelloggs insert
-$1 when you use $1/2 Nutrigrain bars coupon from 8/2 inserts
-$1.50 when you use two $0.75/1 Cheez it printable coupon
-$10 RR from Unilever deal above
Pay $5.59 plus tax out of pocket and earn a $5 RR from Nutrigrain bars and Poptarts and $2 RR from Kelloggs cereal. Then submit this receipt for the Fuel for School Rebate. You should can use the form from the 8/2 inserts or the one you can print here and get an additional $10 check back.

After all is said and done you spend $14.59 plus tax out of pocket, still have $7 in RRs to spend at Walgreens and should be getting a check for $10 from Kelloggs for buying ten of their products in one transaction.  That’s a good deal I think.

The coupon in the Cheezit scenario is for a bigger box plus good on the whole grain version. Those aren’t listed as on sale in the Walgreens ad. Is your Walgreens taking it? Mine will not. Just curious as I see this scenario listed on several blogs. Thanks!

Oops! Sorry about the double comment!! 🙁

  • What does the Kelloggs coupon insert look like? I didn’t see it in my paper and wonder if we got it. Thanks!

  • Hi Kelly,

I think since this is such a new products, maybe not all stores carry it yet. I don’t want to remove the scenario because I have not cofirmed that Walgreens does not carry this product officially. Also, since it’s a new product maybe that’s why they are not advertised. I am just making assumptions but hope that my readers will make the right choice when they are at the store.

I too am missing the Kellogg’s insert from my 8/2 paper. Can anyone tell us what to look for so that I can go back through my paper again and try to find it…thanks!

Mercedes, I was wondering the same thing as Jenae and Carolyn… I didn’t see a Kellogs insert in my paper. Was it regional…. or should I go through the recycle bin? 🙂

    • This was actually a pretty big inserts (taller than regular red plum) so it would have been hard to miss. I am thinking chances are that your newspaper didn’t carry it for some reason. I know I saw reports of the same on a message board. Have you looked into any of the coupon clipping services, like the coupon clippers, to see if you can get form them?
