Walmart: Black Friday Deals + New Open House Feature

I have some Walmart Black Friday Ad scoop!  The days of waiting out in the cold for Walmart to open the door at 5AM on Black Friday are over! This year Walmart is rolling out a new feature they are calling “Open House.”  Starting at 12 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 26th, shoppers can head to the Walmart Open House for big savings on popular toys, apparel and home goods. Then, beginning at 5 a.m., Walmart will kick off its electronics event. Here are the toy, apparel and home deals you can take advantage of starting at midnight:

I also want to let you know that The Nintendo Wii offer and Toy Story 3 DVD will be available in stores starting at midnight on Nov. 26, while supplies last.   I think my husband is making  a trip to Walmart to get that DVD!  I think that Nintendo DS Lite deal is HOT too, but I wish they had included Pillow Pets in the deals.   Don’t miss the PJ’s for $4.  I know some of you were looking for  a deal on those.

You can see the rest of the Walmart Black Friday Ad here.  It is actually posted on their Facebook page so no need to squint through an ad scan.

When I looked through the ad I could only find the Wii package for $249, not $199 with a 50 gift card, can you point me in the right direction? Thanks!

    • Noel,

This came from the press release issued by Walmart. Here is the link to it

Thanks for getting back to me Mercedes. We really want a Wii this year and we’re trying to find the best price 🙂 I really appreciate all you do!

Me too, this is our year to get a Wii and we’re shopping around hoping to get a great deal. I think I’ll be at Walmart at Midnite

I think what they might mean is it’s 249 and then you get a $50 GC, making it 199 after GC. It’s not worded clearly.

Anyone know if Wal Mart will have any of those electronic deals available online? Would love to get that 19″ HDTV for $98.

I was wondering if the open House concept was for all Walmarts or just the ones in your area. It is soooooo cold in PA at 3:00am waiting for the doors to open. Thanks, Jean

What if Walmart is open 24 hours? Can you start coming in at 9 or 10 and putting various black friday items in your cart and wait somewhere until Midnight to check out??? I just wonder how that will work since last BF they would NOT let you “cart” anything until the minute the sale officially started and they had yellow caution tape and associates guarding everything. As soon as it was time, people were tearing down the caution tape and nearly running employees over to get to the pallets, after about 15 minutes you could not even walk in the store the crowds were so bad. People were running, scratching, pushing, yelling and knocking everything over. My mom also waited for a camera in an area of electronics that was yellow tapped off with about 9 other people who waited over 8 hours with her to get the camera. Turns out it was a pile of junk and she had to return it anyway. Just wondering how this will all work with 24 hour stores….

They usually do have people wait/line up for the deals in a 24 hour Wal-Mart. Yes, it can be chaos, but it is that way when stores open at 5am too. Everybody rushes to get in the door & get a cart, or they rush to get the actual products. Same difference really. I did have a bad experience with this, where I was pushed over while I had a box in my hand the corner of the box pushed into my stomach really hard. I wasn’t sick or seriously hurt, or anything, but BF can be crazy that’s for sure! It’s not like anyone intentionally pushed me either, it was just that crowded.
