Common Complaints of Stay at Home Moms

mom complaintsBeing a mom isn’t an easy job. Being a stay at home mom is an even harder job, because you’re staying at home full-time to take care of your kids. I’ve talked with tons of moms over the years that have told me that the struggles of being a stay at home mom can be truly overwhelming at times.  I’ve had some moms tell me that they feel depressed, because the only people they have to talk with is their children. Some have even told me that they’re considering re-entering the working world.

Debating whether or not to return to the working world or to remain a stay at home mom can be a very tough decision. Basically, it’s up to you and whatever your finances look like. However, you have to understand that being a stay at home mom doesn’t have to be too difficult. If you’re a stay at home mom and you’re having a hard time, you should check out the tips I’m going to outline below to make things easier on you.

 Make Time for Yourself

One of the many complaints I’ve heard over the years from stay at home moms is that they find it really hard to have any time for themselves. I can’t argue in any way, shape, or form that being a stay at home mom is difficult. I mean, there’s so much on our plates that it can be very difficult to find any time for ourselves in the day, but you have to make time. Period. If you don’t make time, you’re going to go absolutely nuts.

I highly suggest that you create a schedule. A schedule will help you keep track of everything that needs to get done, so you’ll be much more organized. Also, you’ll be more motivated as you get to put check marks besides of tasks you completed. When I started using a schedule, I found that I had a ton of more time to focus on myself.

Get a Hobby

I would suggest anyone get a hobby, but I especially suggest that stay at home moms have a hobby. A lot of moms don’t feel like they have anything going on in their lives, besides what their children do. Having a hobby will give you something to occupy your time and something to talk about during dinners with your friends, rather than always talking about your kids.

Make Friends

You know how when you send your kid off to school you tell them that they should make some friends? Well, the same goes for you! A lot of moms go stir crazy, because they don’t have anyone to talk to other than their kids. Make some friends and chat it up with them. Try to find some other stay at home moms, so you have something relatable you can talk about.

These are just some of the common complaints of stay at home moms, but trust me, there are a lot more. I hope I’ve been able to at least help you out with some tips in this article.
