Free Music

This is NOT a sponsored post, but I want to rave about this.

We are soda drinkers, I am not ashamed to admit it. Yes, maybe we should switch to the ultimate frugal drink: water or maybe just do it because it’s healthy. But my husband can’t. So we buy soda when it goes on sale. Who knows how many twelve packs of soda we have bought, Pepsi or Coke, we don’t care. We care so little that even though we buy it often we have never looked into the rewards programs the soda companies have, until now.

It’s been a few months since I got an Ipod for my birthday. I love listening to music at the gym but due to limited funds the music selection is very poor. This past weekend I bought some Pepsi at Walgreens and out of the Catalina machine printed a code for 10 Pepsi points. I was intrigued. So I decided to check it out.

It turns out that this 10 point Pepsi code is worth two music downloads. I immediately ran to the garage where we keep the soda and started getting all of the codes from the packs we bought. I also had some Coke codes but I decided to trade those for more Pepsi points. I am up to 7 free song downloads. I am loving it!

To be honest, only five months ago I would have never looked into a promotion like this. Not even to find out how it worked and if it was worth my time, I just always assumed it didn’t. Who knows how many other freebies I have let go this way. So, don’t look down on these types of promotions you don’t know what you may be giving up. Try to take the time to find out what it is about. But if you are not interested and drink Pepsi products I will be a happy recipient for your codes ;-P
