Boost Mobile HTC Desire 510 4G Android No-Contract Phone—$39.99 (Or Use for Mini Tablet!)

I’m glad that this deal popped up again this year, and I’ll tell you why in a moment, so bear with me.

Today only, Best Buy is offering the Boost Mobile HTC Desire 510 4G no-contract Android cell phone in white for only $39.99, down from $99.99. This phone features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, Android 4.4.3 (KitKat), and 4G LTE speed. It also has a 4.7″ screen, 8.0 MP rear camera, 1.3 MP front camera, and micro SD card slot for expandable storage.

Shipping is free, or you can pick it up at your local store.

Now, I have to tell you that I purchased two of these last year for my kids. They both wanted mini tablets for Christmas, but I had a hard time finding a decent deal on them. Then I stumbled on these and decided to take a chance. The phones themselves were never activated, and are used just like mini tablets instead, and they worked perfectly! They just use wi-fi to connect and watch videos, download apps, or whatever. It was probably one of the best purchases I made last year for Christmas! The phones can be toted around much easier than larger tablets, making them perfect for car trips, and the batteries last a lot longer than I thought they would.

All in all, it was an excellent purchase, and these are pretty decent phones. I would definitely recommend them if you’re considering a small tablet purchase. This particular model of HTC Desire 510 phone actually has a better camera than the phones I purchased last year too.
