new to staples rewards. is it an actual check that you cash for $ or is it in the form of a check you then have to use at staples?

  • lori

The Easy Rebates are paper checks mailed to your home. It really is easy. All the info will print on your receipt, and then you go online and put your info in. Simple!

Mary – the staples rewards on the batteries is instore credit, but the staples easy rebates are great and they are usually cash but some time certian things are visa gift cards.

  • Mary

ok so sometimes it is a gift card you can use anywhere, sometimes it is cash and sometimes store credit? How do I tell which type it is? Thanks!

  • Mary

sorry- one more question. Does staples take MQs?

    • Diane

I’ve nevr had a problem using MQs at Staples.

  • Julissa Villa

Staples rewards = check that can only be used in store.
Easy Rebates = paper check or Visa gift card.

  • Diane

I’ve done lots of the Easy Rebates but never the Staples Rewards. So if it’s a paper check that can only be used in the store, I assume that means that you have to use the entire amount in one visit?

A couple of weeks ago I used a $10 Staple Reward (looks like paper check) to purchase a $5 item. Not a problem EXCEPT I only received a 1 cent discount for my 15% coupon. The register printed a Staple Reward (looks like a regular recipt) for my $5 balance – expiration date was the same as the original S10 Staple Reward.

  • Mary

    thanks for the 411!

    • I am glad someone could answer the question. I just started shopping at Staples so I am just learning the ropes as well.

  • Waiting for Rebate

has anybody received this reward yet

    • Marko

I bought two packs of the Duracell batteries at Staples on 4/28/10, as of August 8, 2010 – no rebate or check received.

      • Marko

I checked with the Staples Rewards online center, the rep informed me that since I used rebate checks to pay for the batteries I was not entitled to a refund. So, remember to pay cash for Staples items on full rebates.
