The Best of Walgreens Deals 5/3-5/9

Here are the best deals I see at Walgreens this week. I feel the lack of Easysaver coupons is putting a serious damp on the coupon deals. But there are more Register Rewards deals worth mentioning it seems. What do you think?

  • Just an FYI – My walgreens had the travel kit promo last week – in it you will you also find a $2 off any Aveeno (not trial) coupon – that is another score since it does not expire until December!

  • Mary

There is also a Conagra mail in rebate only in the store version of the All You Magazine found at Walmart. The details are that you purchase $25 worth of Conagra products & receive a $34 coupon savings booklet.

Freebieblogger has a link to get a rebate on the pert plus for men using the try me free sticker attached to the bottle making it a money maker!!!! And a link to more coupons $1/1!

    • Thanks Deanna. I have added link to that post to my entry.

Yeah, the lack of the Easy Saver coupons has definitely dimmed my enthusiasm over Walgreens. The RRs are just a pain in the you-know-what, so those don’t interest me much at all. My small-town store’s catalina machine is broken more than it is working, so that crimps my style a bit! I know all about calling the customer service number, talking to the manager, etc. but that sometimes is just more trouble than it is worth! 🙂 Great job on your posts, though. I love to read them! 🙂

Just wanted to say that I did the Therma Care deal today and you have to buy Advil with it to get the $3 RR. It says it right on the tag. I can’t remember what count, maybe 40 ct. or larger, but it’s right there in black and white! Good thing is that there are Advil coupons out right now!
Also, thanks so much the all the work you do. You’ve helped me to become a more frugal mama!

  • you can print a $2.50 MIR form for Pert for Men… see where here!

  • I’m really not liking the RR in place of the ES book. I’m still holding out for something better, but I am definitely not going to hold my breath.

  • Jem

I don’t like the RR so much either. I find it much more complicated than the ES.

  • I love Swiffer cloths for dusting, so I was thinking that the $6 RR deal could be combined w/ the Swiffer gift card rebate:

    5 Swiffer refills (16 ct) x $4 = $20
    2 Mr. Clean Magic Eraser = $5
    use B1G1 Mr. Clean coupon – OOP = $22.50
Get $6 RR and submit for $10 Swiffer rebate – get all of the above for $6.50 + tax

I personally would use the Magic Erasers and not the Febreeze, but you could also do:
    5 Swiffer refills = $20
    1 Febreeze Noticeables = $6
    use $4 Febreeze coupon – OOP = $22
Get $6 RR and submit for $10 Swiffer rebate, get all of the above for $6

There are apparently 75-cents off Swiffer refill hangtag coupons out there, and if you’re lucky enough to have those, you could get your OOP all the way down to $2.25 + tax.

  • Sorry about the type is the second scenario – it’s obviously a $6 RR, not $66 (I wish! LOL).

    Regarding the
    Buy 3 7Up 12-packs (on sale 3 for $11), Get $5 Register Rewards
    Use 3 $1/1 printables ——-
I’m only able to print two of the 7Up coupons from the link. After two, the message says “Reached limit” or something like that.

  • Betty

I purchased Thermacare Heat Pads at $5.99 and used the $3/1 but a RR did not print. Any suggestions?

  • I was going to get the thermacare too, but saw that you had to buy the Advil as well so I skipped it. As to the RR, I’m all for it, but I don’t try to roll mine and just use them to buy groceries instead. I’m able to use them at Jewel. So it balances out and it’s not such a pain for me. Otherwise trying to roll them, especially with all the rules involved, kind of a pain. Like today, I could use my RR, because every item I bought I had a coupon for and the register will only accept one coupon per item. I know you can buy filler items, but since I can use them for groceries, I don’t bother.

  • Carrie

MONEYMAKER!!! my walgreen’s had a number of Clairol nice ‘n easy on clearance $3.99. With a $2/1, it’s now 1.99, and the 4.99 RR still prints out. I had 3 coupons, so I made $9.00 !!!!

  • sindy

I bought the aveeno deal but in order to get the traveling kit you have to spend $10.. so i bought two for $2.62 and the other one it was like 4.63. I still used my 3 coupons for $2.00 off

  • Amanda

I printed my 7-up coupons but the coupon says only off the cherry ones and the Walgreens i went to didn’t have cherry… did anyone else try using the coupons on regular 7up and have it work?

  • Diane

Amanda, take a second look at your coupons. Mine pictures the Cherry 7-Up but reads: “Save $1.00 off your next purchase of any one (1) 12 pack (Reg or Diet) Cherry 7UP Antioxidant OR ANY FLAVOR 7UP”

  • Courtney

So I went to Walgreens today and had the following transaction

    Snack Pack 4/$5 used 1-$.75/3
Healthy Choice Dinner 2/$5 used 1-$1/2
    Pert 2/$5 used 2-$1/1
    Right Guard $2.99 used 1-$1/1

My subtotal was 13.24 in which $.44 was tax.

I wanted to use $5 Nivea RR, $3 Pepsi RR and 2-$2.50 Bayer.

I calculated that I have 9 items and 9 coupons but the register would not let me use either one of the 2/$2.50 Bayer RR. Any help as to why this did not work would be great. I am fairly new to this and am a little confused. Thanks!

  • Courtney

For the above transaction my subtotal before tax was $13.24 and tax was $.44 so total before my RR was $13.68 sorry for wording it wrong the first time.
