New Year’s Resolutions For 2017 – Start Off The New Year Running!

We are about to celebrate a new year and I’m sure you’re getting ready for all the parties that are going to be happening. And while that is great and exciting it’s time to start thinking about some New Year’s resolutions. Now in the past I’ve had a hard time with these because for one it’s difficult for me to stick to them because they’re usually the traditional lose weight and get more organized. But this year I’m thinking outside the box and have come up with other resolutions that I might add to my list. (And don’t worry, those first two will still be on there until I get them mastered.)

  1. Set out to learn something new
  2. Save at least $50/month (or any other amount that sounds reasonable to you)
  3. Meet someone new
  4. Find a way to serve someone different at least once a month
  5. Break a bad habit
  6. Stretch every day
  7. Watch less TV
  8. Drink more water
  9. Read more
  10. Find some way to relax
  11. Have more patience
  12. Spend more time with my kids
  13. Try a new style of exercise (yoga, biking, cross fit, etc.)
  14. Floss your teeth daily (please say I’m not alone)
  15. Take a full day off from Social Media once a month
  16. Start a gratitude journal
  17. Double the time we spend outside
  18. Work on our emergency preparedness boxes
  19. Always use sunscreen
  20. Organize my phone/photos
  21. Send more homemade cards in the mail
  22. Lower my sugar intake
  23. Take more pictures & video
  24. Be honest with myself
  25. Simplify my life
